Every year out of school time providers from Austin Independent School District gather together to showcase all of the wonderful things their programs are doing to support youth in our city. This year, ACE Austin teamed up with Boys and Girls Clubs, Prime Time, and many other groups on April 25 at Kealing Middle School for a fun, interactive, and entertaining experience for students, family members and the community. District Superintendent Paul Cruz even made an appearance!
In the cafeteria there were arts and crafts, science experiments, nutrition lessons and musical interludes, while in the auditorium students got to show off their skills in Ballet Folklorico, dancing, singing, acting, martial arts, rock band shows, and more! All of these great performances and displays are just the tip of the iceberg to what is happening in schools across Austin every day thanks to the many after school programs here.
